Classification of pipe support
Pipeline support is a key component to support the pipeline system and ensure its safe operation, and its design should consider the load, material, environment and installation technology.
1. Classification by function
● Fixed support: Completely limit pipe displacement, used in key positions such as pipe bends and equipment interfaces, and need to have high stiffness to withstand thermal stress.
● Sliding support: Allows the pipe to slide axially to release thermal expansion stress. It is common in long straight pipe sections. A gap of 3 to 5mm should be reserved between the sliding support and the chute.
● Guide bracket: Limits lateral displacement and allows axial movement for use in vertical pipes or in areas with frequent vibration.
● Rolling bracket: Reduce friction through ball or roller, suitable for large diameter or frequent displacement scenarios.
● Spring support hanger: Absorb displacement through spring deformation, divided into variable spring (small displacement) and constant force spring (large displacement), used for equipment interfaces or earthquake areas.
2. Sort by material
● Steel structure: Strong versatility, suitable for normal temperature and pressure environment.
● Stainless steel/galvanized steel: Corrosion resistant, used in chemical, Marine and other humid environment.
● Reinforced concrete/brick-and-wood structure: Low cost, mostly used for small or temporary projects.
3. Type by installation mode
● Suspension type: Through the boom suspended in the beam, plate, save ground space.
● Support type: Column or bracket directly support the pipeline, strong bearing capacity.
● Anti-seismic support: Geometrically invariant system is formed through diagonal braces and hinges.
